I then went on to obtain my master’s degree in criminal justice. I completed my LNC course through the Center for Legal Studies. I specialize in medical malpractice, personal injury and civil torts. I have over 30 years in nursing that covered almost all areas. Before deciding to change my career path I spent many years in teaching and nurse management. I was the Regional Clinical Operations specialist for a managed healthcare company that provides medical and mental healthcare in jails and prisons. I especially enjoyed correctional medicine. I still work on a casual basis for a rehab center for drug and alcohol and consult for correctional facilities who are hoping to become NCCHC accredited.
